Computer Forensic Technology Concentration Now Transfers!

Lakeland Community College is proud to announce the first Computer Forensic Technology Concentration in Ohio now has an articulation degree with Defiance College. The Associate of Applied Science criminal justice degree’s Computer Forensics Technology Concentration provides students with the basic knowledge and skills to utilize and apply computer forensic services and software tools to criminal investigation. Students will be prepared through courses covering security, compute operations, basic forensics, and much more.

Career Opportunities

Therefore, Lakeland Community College students can now pursue advanced skills, knowledge and careers, supported by this new seamless transfer agreement with Defiance College’s Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

This new certificate, made up of existing courses, is designed to provide students with a specialization in IT security.

What do I have to do to be admitted to Lakeland?

The degree programs are designed for two years of full time study. How long you will take depends on how many hours you can safely dedicate to study
What is the difference between a certificate and certification?
The certificate is an academic training program designed to prepare you in one specific skill set. The certification is a vendor-specific or vendor-neutral set of exams that show some degree of proficiency in a specific skill. The certification exams are not given by Lakeland faculty.
